01Turns a raw list of destinations into a color-coded dashboard table — status, country, cost range, duration, best season, and notes.
02Covers 60+ popular destinations with pre-loaded data: regional cost norms, visa ease, overtourism flags, and season logic built in.
03Splits your list into Dreaming / Planned / Visited counts at a glance — no more mental math on how many places you've actually been.
04Handles mixed-budget travelers: tell it 'backpacker in Asia, mid-range in Europe' and the cost estimates adjust accordingly.
05Outputs a clean HTML artifact you can screenshot, share, or keep open in a browser tab — not a chat wall of text.
06Add destinations, update statuses, or swap in new trips mid-conversation — the dashboard updates in place.

What it does

You have a mental list — Patagonia someday, Japan next spring, Iceland whenever flights get cheap — and right now it lives in a Notes app, a Pinterest board, and your head simultaneously. This skill takes whatever you've got (a rough list, a vibe, or nothing yet) and produces a proper dashboard: a destination table with status, estimated daily cost, ideal trip length, best travel season, and a notes column, plus summary counts so you can see your whole travel life in one view. The bundled destination guide covers 60+ popular spots with pre-loaded regional data — cost norms, shoulder vs. peak season logic, visa ease ratings — so you're not getting generic filler. The cost benchmark guide adjusts estimates based on your actual travel style. If you say 'budget backpacker for Southeast Asia but mid-range for South America,' it knows the difference. This is for spreadsheet-native travelers who want something they own and can actually use, not another app that wants your credit card to export your own data. One conversation. One clean artifact. Yours to keep.

Frequently asked

Does it just make the table, or does it actually fill in the cost and season data for me?
It fills in the data. The skill loads a destination enrichment guide and cost benchmark reference before it builds your dashboard, so destinations come pre-populated with cost estimates, best travel seasons, visa ease, and notes. You're not staring at blank cells.
What if I don't have a list yet — can I still use this?
Yes. Tell it your travel style, budget level, or even just a region you're curious about and it'll generate a starter dashboard with popular destinations to get you going. There's a built-in template mode for exactly this.
Can I update the dashboard later — add new destinations or mark something as visited?
Yes, in the same conversation. Tell it 'add Vietnam and Kenya, planned for 2026' or 'mark Japan as visited' and it rebuilds the dashboard with your changes. It's designed for ongoing use, not a one-shot output.
Can I just build this myself with a prompt?
You could get a basic table, but the bundled guides are doing the heavy lifting: 60+ destinations worth of cost norms, a global seasonal calendar, visa and overtourism flags, and an HTML styling guide for the visual output. Replicating that in a prompt takes a while and still won't be as consistent.
Does this work in Claude, ChatGPT, or both?
This skill is built for Claude specifically — it uses Claude's artifact rendering to produce the visual HTML dashboard. It won't produce the same formatted output in ChatGPT.
